Roma looking to be a tough challenge for Bayern

Bayern Munich will be the visitors to the Stadio Olimpico in the midweek Champions League action. Roma will be looking to provide a formidable opposition to the German club. The Italian outfit have made a great start to the season, although they have recently dropped points in the league. After recently managing a 1-1 draw with Manchester City away from home, Roma will be looking to take advantage of the home support in order to get three points. This would put them in a great position to qualify from the group stages.

Sunderland hoping to avoid relegation

After managing to stay in the Premier League in an extraordinary fashion, Sunderland would have been hoping to avoid the relegation dogfight this season. The club seemed very determined to improve the squad during the transfer window. Even after several new signings, Sunderland are yet to take victory in this campaign. They have had extremely good results against the likes of Manchester United against whom they managed a 1-1 draw, but Poyet says that it is only through a victory that they can improve their form. Sunderland have lost against fellow relegation rivals QPR in an away match and they sit just a few places about the relegation zone.

Noble Hoping New Recruits Can Raise Standard

Mark Noble is hoping that the new recruitments that have been made by West Ham United recently raise the standard of club’s game in the upcoming season.
As many as six transfer deals have already been secured by West Ham United this summer. The higher officials of the club have looked prepared to spend money for bolstering the squad as they are eager to end somewhere inside top 10 in the league table in 2014-15.

Cole Believes Club Should Consider Eto'o

Roma defender Ashley Cole, who recently completed his high-profile free transfer move from Chelsea, has stated that the club should consider signing Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o.
Eto’o is available on a free transfer after Chelsea decided not to extend his contract. The 33-year-old striker still is at the top of the game as showed by becoming the club’s leading goalscorer last season. He was also part of Cameroon’s squad at the World Cup 2014. Cole says that Roma should consider signing Eto’o, who he regards to be a top player.
