Roma recovered from the aggregate semi-final tie defeat to Manchester United by thumping Crotone 5-0 at home in the league with all the goals coming in the second half.

Borja Mayoral gave Roma the lead at the start of the second half. His goal gave the Italian capital club the lead two minutes after the interval before the Europa League semifinalists scored four goals in the last 20 minutes of the game to secure a comprehensive win.

Italian international Lorenzo Pellegrini scored two of the four goals within the space of three minute. His first arrived on 70 minutes to help double the lead for the hosts. He completed his brace three minuteslater to make the score 3-0 in favour of his team.

Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the fourth goal for Roma on 78 minutes before Mayoral wrapped up the scoring on the stroke of full-time.
