Strootman A Target

Kevin Strootman played a key role in As.Roma’s sensational season that saw them claiming the 2nd spot of the Italian League; Serie A. As.Roma received a €25 million offer from Manchester United as the English club wants to sign the 24 year old midfielder but will have to increase their offer or find another player in the transfer market for a more cost-effective target.

Unfortunately for As.Roma and Netherlands, Strootman picked up an injury which left him out of action for the last stages of the season as well as not being able to play his country in the 2014 World Cup due to the injury.

Strootman is currently being viewed as a player who can reinforce the midfield section of Manchester United as the Premier League club signed Maroune Fellaini some time ago but the Belgium midfielder failed on making an impact at Old Trafford.

As.Roma on the other hand has fortified their own midfield after signing the former Barcelona player, Seydou Keita from Valencia. The Malian midfielder helped Valencia to reach the semi-finals stages of the Europa League and As.Roma is hoping that Keyta is going to help them in the Champions League for the next season.

This will be the first time in 3 years that As.Roma will be playing in Europe’s top tier league in the Champions League. During his time at Camp Nou being a player of Barcelona, Keyta lifted 14 pieces of silverware which includes 2 Champions League and will now be performing with the As.Roma jersey on a 1 year long contract deal.

Rudi Garcia will be the man in charge to guide As.Roma through the Champions League as the French coach is going to be in charge of the club based in Rome for 3 more years.
