Roma head coach Claudio Ranieri has refused to blame Totti for Roma's defeat to Bayern Munich. The Giallorossi suffered a 2-0 defeat to the Bundesliga giants in Wednesday's UEFA Champions League meeting at the Allianz Arena.

Roma's long-serving captain Totti came under fire for his display in the defeat, although Ranieri has refused to hit out. Rather than criticise Totti's display he fully expects the 33-year-old to return to form in the club's next outing against Bologna.

"I know nothing. I've read nothing. I don't want to comment," said the former Chelsea manager. "The beautiful thing of this sport is that within three days, it restarts. I've passed many times similar moments in my career, but we have always found the form to bounce back."
