ROMA DUO DOUBTFUL FOR TORINO CLASH

Italian capital club AS Roma might be without two of their defenders for the visit of struggling Torino in the league on Thursday night. Roma play hosts to Torino at the Stadio Olimpico and the centre back duo of Gianluca Mancini and MarashKumbulla are doubtful for the game.

Summer signing Kumbullawas forced off early during the league win at Bologna at the weekend. MarashKumbulla missed the majority of the Bologna game which ended in a 5-1 away win for Roma. The result ended their previous league run of two games without a win.

In the potential absence of MarashKumbulla and Gianluca Mancini, Jorge Jesus is likely to join the defensive duo of Chris Smalling and Roger Ibanez in a makeshift Roma defence. Apart from the aforementioned central defensive duo, fullback Davide Santon could also miss the game as the Italian player is still struggling with a thigh injury. For Bryan Cristante, he will miss the Torino game through suspension after the disciplinary board of the Italian Serie A suspended him for blasphemy.
Torino have underperformed under new manager Marco Giampaolo this season as they are in the bottom three ahead of their trip to the capital to face Roma. Marco Giampaolo will have to navigate the game without the trio of fullback Cristian Ansaldi, young winger VicenzoMillico and the experienced Simone Verdi.
Torino have lost their last two games in the league and a third consecutive loss is on the horizon unless Marco Giampaolo a good result against freescoring Roma. Roma have scored 21 goals in their last eight games in the league as they have scored twice or more in six of those games. In Henrikh Mkhitaryan, they have one of the form players in the league. Armenian international Mkhitaryan has six goals and five assists this season.
