AS ROMA TEETERING TOWARDS CRISIS AS FANS AND PLAYERS CLASH

The recent poor run of form coupled with the growing tension between the team and fans is threatening to overshadow Roma’s season. The Italian side have failed to win its last three matches in all competitions and suffered a humiliating defeat in the CoppaItalia.

The latest twist in this saga saw Roma fans draw an offensive graffiti in the outside walls of Kolarov house in which it referred to the full back as a Croatian. Kolarov is Serbian and it is well known of the political tension between Serbia and Croatia due to disputes on territories.

Schick Getting Back In Form

Eusebio Di Francesco, boss of the Roma football team, has urged Patrik Schick not to stop after the striker has scored a goal, his first this season in the game against Sampdoria.

Schick had lost form some time back and suffered injuries which prevented him from showing peak performance when Roma team shelled out €42m to sign him in for the club. Czech netted out in the game between Giallorossi and Sampdoria which resulted in a 4-1 victory for the former. As a result of this performance, Roma has been chosen for Serie A as well as for Champions League.

Roma Boss Keen To Instil Belief Into Squad Ahead Of Liverpool Game

Roma manager Eusebio di Francesco believes his side can still turn the complexion of their Champions League semi-final tie against Liverpool. The Capital outfit succumbed to a 5-2 defeat to the Reds in the first leg at Anfieldbut Di Francesco remains optimistic that his side can turn things around at the Stadio Olimpico. Speaking after the weekend win over Chievo, he said: "We have to recover our physical and mental energy, leave the pitch on Wednesday knowing we've done all we possibly could. We've proved in the past that we can achieve great results in the Champions League, so we must all believe."
